River Adventures

Coming for white water rafting first part of August. Has anyone ever gone on River Adventures? I noticed they are quite a bit cheaper than Class VI....is there a reason for this...seems like they do pretty much the same thing. Please give me your opinions!! Also, do you know anywhere where we can rent bikes to go on paths? Thanks for your help!

Just a wild guess.

River Adventures might be a smaller operation than ClassVI.....Lower overhead works out to lower rates.

.Looking at ClassVI site...... shows a pretty nice cabin for rent, gourmet dining and.....massage. .........

Should be bike shop or two in Fayettville. Most outfitters have bikes and guided tours. Saw them listed on River site.

Bike companies in Fayetteville: New River Bike>http://www.newriverbikes.com/ and Marathon Bikes>http://marathonbikes.com/

To my knowledge, there are no bike bike paths in the area, just roads and tons of mountain biking. Mountain biking ranging from tough to beginner.

A place with tons of trails you can ride for free is at Ace Whitewater. Can rent on grounds and they will tell you where to go. Offers guided tours also.

Just posted on your other request for info. Again, enjoy your time in WV. Chris

Not sure where they go to or where they start but have seen some "Rails To Trails" through the area. Old railroad beds with rails and ties removed. They make nice wide and level trails with packed gravel surfaces.

Bike shops should be able to point you in right direction.
