Charlestown slots

I went to Charlestown for the first time a month ago based on the ads on the radio and lost over $600 in less than 2 hours. Are the slots always this tight? I played dollars, quarters and even pennies. Nothing. It was incredibly packed with people and was still under renovation in some areas. Several of the machines were also broken. Now that the kids are grown and gone, I thought I'd try the casinos and Charlestown/Hollywood was my first stop. It's been many years since Atlantic City and it's over 3.5 hours away. Any other suggestions or how can I improve my game at Hollywood/Charlestown, it's about an hour away.

Charlestown is known for tihjt slots.

How to improve? First - stop playing slots. You maight want to play blackjack where you at least have a chance of winning. Do a internet search on "Basic Black Jack Strategy". It will tell you based on your cards and the dealers card, if you should hit, stand, double down or split. Follow it (even if you feel your gonna bust), this will give you the best chance of coming out ahead.

Have a goal when you sit down at the table - If you start with $200, say to yourselve "if I'm up $100 than I'm leaving. And do it. This goal should be 50% to 100% of what your willing to loss. If you lose, go home any try another day - DON'T GO TO THE ATM>

I wish I had read these forums before I went. I have played the tables in Atlantic City, so I will be going there for Labor Day weekend. It is more fun to play the slots for me, and there have been so many new games since I've last played, I got caught up before I realised I had lost so much on the slot machines. Hollywood left a really bad impression on me, I don't know if I'll go back. Unless I hear someone talkng about improved play there, I will instead venture to the new Pennsylvania casinos and see how those are. I am interested in the new Parx casino, what the slot play and atmospheer is like at that casino. Are all of them under the Indian control?

Last month I went to the Meadows Casino outside of Pittsburgh. I think they have the same owners as this hollywood casino. The table limits were fair. They were 10-25 for a Sunday night, so a lot cheaper then here. I recommend checking it out!

From what I understand about the table minimums at Charles Town, $100/$200 is not going to last very long. Right now, if you want to play tables, make the drive to AC.
