Seaview, Washington, is turning into a real food-lovers' destination.
Just got back from a long weekend get-away, staying at the Shelburne Inn. We ate at the Shoalwater, the 42nd Street Cafe, and the Depot. All were excellent, and their chefs seem to have intertwined kitchen lineage, with menu bios and website references to each other. (Seems like a thumbnail history would make interesting reading, but I can't find one on the web.)
You can't go wrong with any of them. They all feature creative renderings with local ingredients, paired with excellent wine lists, and friendly service. If you have the time, I'd recommend staying at the Shelburne and eating at all three, as they're in easy walking distance.
Just be sure to hike on the beach to work off the excellent meals!
