Fred Meyer on Lakeway near freeway has O.K. prices. There is a place called Grocery Outlet at intersection of Ellis and Forest but I've never been in there so I can't tell you for sure.

Go to google maps and enter Bellingham Grocery Outlet, 1600 Ellis Street, Bellingham, WA. and it will show you location. The very center of downtown would be Holly St. between Railroad and Commercial so you can judge the distance. Ditto for Fred Meyer at 800 Lakeway.

Grocery Outlet is cheap, but the beer isn't cold. There is a good inexpensive wine selection. Trader Joe's isn't far from DT and they have a decent cheap beer (also not cold) similar to Pacifica called Trader Jose.

hit up GO, as mentioned cheap and there is actually a small selection of cold beer, Trader joes as always cheap beer but again not cold, no Trader Jose as thats more of a summer tipple in my mind stuck with the Mission street IPA, not bad at all especially at $6.50 a 6 pack

Yep, other threads by binkie talk about the ferry to Alaska.

binkie it's to your disadvantage to ask a new question on an old thread.

Hi,

We are going on the M/V Columbia from Bellingham up to Juneau, 16 nights with stays in different towns. We shall be flying into Vancouver for one night then the quick coach up to Bellingham airport with a taxi to the ferry. We are on a budget and like to beer, so thought it may be cheaper to get this before we get on the ferry.

Thanks
