hotel info

Hello - will be arriving in Bellingham by train from Vancouver. Would appreciate if someone could recommend a nice hotel in the $150 - $200 price range close to the train station. Also, how far is the ferry terminal from the city centre. Thanks

The Bham train station is on the water in the old Fairhaven district. Its a few miles from the main part of Bellingham but not all that far. There are some nice hotels and motels in the area. You may wish to look at the hotel tab on this forum and make sure to look at some of the reviews as well.

Chrysalis Inn and Spa and The Fairhaven Hotel will fall within your budget if not under. They are both a few minutes from the train station in the Fairhaven district of Bellingham. If you dont mind a taxi cab just around the bay, you can check out the Bellwether Hotel. Very nice, right on the water, but will run you more than the other two.

Theres a couple city centers. The train station is about 2 blocks from the Fairhaven center, which is "older" (in a good way) Bellingham, but has been renovated. All the shopping and food is within walking distance, lots of brick construction, its a nice place to spend an evening.

The other city center is probably a 5 or 6 minute drive, with shopping and pubs, restaurants.
