What is there to do in woodbridge, VA

I am coming up to Woodbridge, VA this weekend with a large group and interested in finding out if there are any attractions within a reasonable driving range.

Well your question is mighty broad....

Woodbridge is located in Prince William County, you should spend a minute on their visitor site http://www.visitpwc.com/fv/fv_home.html where you'll find lots of ideas.....

Some would suggest that DC is a reasonable driving range so you could go there, although don't go at rush hour. About the same distance to the south is Fredericksburg, VA a nice town with Civil War sites and lots of shops.

Closer to Woodbridge you could visit Manassas National Battlefield (Civil War site), the Manassas Museum, Occoquan (a quaint tourist town on a river), Potomac Mills Mall (an outlet mall) -- all in Prince William.

Close by are also Mount Vernon (George and Martha Washington's home), Gunston Hall (George Mason's home) and Woodlawn (home of Nellie and Lawrence Lewis, Washington kin) at Woodlawn there is also a Frank Lloyd Wright house to tour.

If you prefer outdoor activities, Prince William Forest Park (national park) and Mason Neck park (state park) are nearby.

Some more details (interest, ages, size of group) would make suggestions even better

Occoquan is an adorable little historic town/shopping area.
