La Cascadas Water Park

Any information would be appreciated. I heard they were going to open a hotel on the grounds of the park. Any advice on good paradors or other accomodation would also be appreciated.

Well Las Cascadas is a water park by Puerto Rican standards... and by the standards of any place with great beaches.

By this I mean that it wont be as amazing as water parks in Florida or other states.

It it about the size of a large parking lot or a Super Wal-Mart... lol sorry for comparing it like that, but I just want to get at it not being huge, but not tiny.

There are a few slides, not sure exactly how many, a wave pool and a lazy pool. It's a good way to spend a day if the beach is rough or if you are sick of the ocean.

Also, it is the largest Water Park in Puerto Rico, comparing it to El Tuque in Ponce, this is Disney vs you local video game arcade.

Not sure about any paradors on the grouds of the park, sorry! But I do know that Aguadilla and neighboring towns have many MANY great paradors, hotels and inns.

And, Las Casacadas are open in summertime only... No hotel construction that I'm aware of, I pass that area quite regularly.

As for accomodations in Aguadilla you have El Faro Suites, Cielo Mar, El Pedregal and a Courtyard Marriott. None of this hotels are beach front, they are a short car ride from them.

But, Rincon and Isabela, nearby towns, do have hotels and small inns that are beachfront.

Thanks you guys so much. We usually stay over in Rio Grande and rent a car to see the island. I think we will make the water park a day trip. Oh!! the joys of having grand children come on vacation with you.

The El Conquitador has a water park now. Currenty I believe for hotel guests only. But you could check. YOu might consider staying there for a day or 2. Their beach on the private island is one of the best.
