I am looking for a language school to take a Spanish course and am considering different locations and countries. I have never been to Nicaragua but had read great things about the country. I would be traveling alone so I am wondering if Granada has enough to do to keep me from not getting bored or lonely for a week. The pictures of the town look nice but usually the images are somewhat repetitive with the same picture of the main plaza. So I am wondering if there really is much to the town or am I mistaken? It looks nice and I do realize that the lake is nearby so there could be some activities there too. I don't party or like to stay out late. I am well beyond those years as fun as they were when I was in my 20's. I suppose that the language schools in Granada would have activities that I could partake in so that would be good.
Also, I have read that there is some kids that might follow you around asking for money. I suppose a simple no gracias would suffice? Any feedback would be great.
