Best dive spot?

We are travelling to Koh Chang during christmas and are looking for 1 day of diving (2 dives). Which is the best place to go ? Can anything beat koh rang?We are AOW and have visited the Similans and Koh Tao area twice. I know that the Similans is the best dives in Thailand but Which place offers the best dives in Koh Chang?

For a beach visit, Which is the best, Wai, maak or kood, or any other suggestions?

If you're looking for The beach, it's either Koh Maak or Koh Kood, forget about Koh Wai right now.

For the dive, talk to your operator, they will know and tell you, whether they will head there or not ( a couple of small islands west of Koh Chang ).

I am travelling around christmas so the weather should be better than it is now.

As for the diving it would be great if anyone had tried some of the spots south of Koh Chang and could recommend where to go or not.

Personally, I prefer diving around the local sites.

Less boats then in the National Park, which is relatively shallow (average 7-9m) and in general better diving conditions. Visibility is normally better around the local sites and you're chances of seeing bigger stuff and bigger schools of fish are higher here.

Ideally you could go for a day diving in the National Marine Park (but away from the snorkelling sites --read to many boats and people in the water) and one on the local sites.

Hope this helps a bit.
