Layover

I have a 5 hours layover at IAD between flights. Can anyone suggest how to keep the boredom at bay?

If you don't have any luggage, you could take the shuttle bus (cost 50 cents) from the airport to the nearby Smithsonian's Udvar Hazy Air and Space Museum. Admission to the museum is free and there are some really cool things to see there, including the space shuttle, "Discovery". Here's a link to the bus schedule and the museum's website:

If you have luggage, this would not be feasible as there is no place to store luggage, either at the airport or the museum. Also, there's nothing else close to the airport that you could do within that 5 hour timeframe (e.g. no time to get to/from D.C. for sightseeing).

If you are uninterested in the museum (or unable to visit due to luggage), then your best bet is an engrossing book.
