I got a great deal staying/riding snowbird this coming January. I'll be going with my fiance who is an intermediate skier, I can get her on black diamonds out east (when they are not all ice and moguls). After seeing and reading more and more about the mountain, I am wondering if this is a good fit for her.
I can see there is lots of challenging terrain, but it looks like a decent mix. Anyone ever come here who is, or was with an intermediate skier who likes to take their time on the runs? I am sure we can find something for everyone, but I want to make sure there will be enough to do, and I don't want her to be intimidated and scared, or in the lodge all day.
I snowboard, so a trip over to alta is not an option, but I am not sure if their terrain is just as challenging anyway. Would re-routing the trip to a place like park city be more enjoyable for her? We are also not opposed to getting lessons to get acquanted with the terrain and mountain. Any help or advice would be appreciated!
