hyatt Escala vs. Grand Summit vs. Sundial

Which is the nicest of the three for a one bedroom, with ski on/ski off access? We will be skiing at Christmas with our 10 year old son. He will do some ski school, the rest with us. We are all intermediate to advanced skiers. Grand summit is offering a promotion with breakfast and lift tickets if booked early, and vrbo has some offering at the other two. Would appreciate any feedback!

All 3 have great ski access at the Canyons, although Grand Summit and the Sundial are more centrally located to the main lifts (Gondola and Orange Bubble) and the rest of the shops/restaurants. For the days you won't be skiing with your 10 year old, you will want the easy access to the Gondola and the Orange Bubble- as these will be the quickest routes to get up to the good snow. Happy planning!

Greetings and welcome to the Wasatch.

The Hyatt is probably the highest rated of the bunch but is also the furthest away from the lifts. Grand Summit has the closest lift access and is full service, having a spa, nice swimming pool area, and a couple of different restaurants on site. I've never stayed overnight though.

I have stayed at Sundial and found it to be great. I wasn't blown away, but it was very nice, clean and roomy and the staff was great. No restaurant on site, though there are a few within walking distance. The swimming pool area is smaller than Grand Summit. It's also about 150 yards from lift access. as opposed to right out the back door of the Grand Summit. Others might have better info on the quality of the rooms, but they are all accommodations at The Canyons. There won't be a bad one in the bunch. It will simply be choosing between nice and very nice and whatever will fit your specific wants.

Grand Summit is the best choice of the three given location, services, quality. For sure Hyatt is very nice but just not the same location wise. Sundial on bottom end.

Have fun.

Thanks for the all the replies. The summit offered an early booking deal, so that clinched it.
