Walks in Park City

Hi all. In Park City now & wondering if there are any nice walks we can do (after finishing on the slopes). Have looked at the guides and can't see any so your input will be greatly appreciated.

Go to MountainTrails.org or pickup a map at any sports store or hotel. Where are you staying? Frankly, a walk up and down Main Street is nice. There's also a great network of trails and you'll find a number of them in the valley that are somewhat snow free now. There is a great rail trail that extends from the North of Main and Prospector area to the east. Pretty sure good portions of it are snow free right now.

There's also a really nice snow free paved walkway from lower Main (across from Vinto) extending all the way to City Park and beyond. It actually connects to the Rail Trail. There's also a trail from the shopping center at 224.248 (Park City Market and Liquor Store) that goes all the way out to Kimball Junction. Some will be snow free. You can also park across from the White Barn on 224 and walk that trail and others on the west side of the road.

Tons of choices. If you are OK with a snow packed trail in the woods, try Rob's Trail in the Bear Hollow area off 224 just west of the Park City Nursery.

Finally, for a great adventure, drive up 224 past Montage and Empire Lodge. There's a parking area just a switchback up where the road splits. Park there (with the snowmobiles). You can then walk the Guardsman Road up to Empire Pass. I think it's relatively snow free right now.

Have fun.
