Park City Vacation

We are heading to Park City March 1-6 with a family of 4 - no small kids and all decent skiers. We like to get the first lifts up in the morning. Any recommendations for easy access to lifts but not outrageous prices? Do the shuttles come often enough that being on a shuttle route works? Can we get by without a car- for restaurants and groceries too? We plan to ski only in the PC area. Ski all day and sleep all night.

At Canyons look at Grand Summit as best ski in/out -30 seconds from two lifts. Sundial next best. Hyatt Escala, Westgage, Silverado other choices. At PCMR Marriott Mountainside is best. Snowflower and Silver Star are both excellent just at another spot in the resort and not right in the main resort plaza. For Deer Valley Black Diamond Lodge is best choice for ski in/out.

Bus system is great and easy way to get around. Doesn't match ski in/out but still good alternative.

Plenty of transportation companies for airport shuttle. Generally plan on $40/person each way for main companies like All Resort or Park City Transportation.

Have fun.

Snowflower and Silver Star look great but are a bit above our price range. How are properties like Snowcrest and Edelweiss?

If you want a car for only a portion of your trip (for one day of errands or sightseeing maybe?), you could use a company like ours - Park City Four Wheel Drive. We deliver brand new 4-door, 4 wheel drive Jeeps to your place of accommodation and pick it up when you are done.

Snowcrest and Edelweiss are OK, not same level as the others suggested. Location is about 5-10 minute walk with Snowcrest being a bit less. Both are closer to the First Time/Three Kings base in lower parking lot where you can buy tickets. Saves you 5 minutes walk.

Have fun.
