Wave and South Coyote Buttes - weather in April.

We have permit for Wave hike on April 10 and Permit for South Coyote Buttes for April 11. Planning to spend night camping at Paw Hole trail head. What temperature to expect during the day and how cold it will get at night? Thank you.

Days should be beautiful. Nights could be chilly. With a tent you'll be fine.

I have camped in this area at this time. It can vary greatly. You can expect some warm sunny days, possible to hike in shorts, maybe mid 70's. You can also expect some snowflakes if the weather goes south on you. Bring fleece layers and waterproof shell and pants. When the wind blows up on the ridges above Pawhole it can be pretty uncomfortable if you're not prepared. Expect nighttime to get below freezing. I'd bring a sleeping bag that is at least 20 degree rated. It may not get that cold but at least you'll be warm if it does.

Amazingly beautiful place!! Have fun!!
