size of rooms?

quality of kitchen/furniture

beach

how nice is the staff?

I have stayed at Casa del Cortes (now called Casa Resort??? - I think). I usually go once a year. I stay in #303 (2bed, 2bath, w/ gulf view). I like Casa because it is small and REALLY close to the beach. Most of the time when we are there, we have the pool to ourselves. They just put a hot tub in near the pool. I think this condo is the closest to the beach. I haven't stayed at Aransas Princess but it looks like it would have long walks to the beach and pool. Good luck in your decision.

I have stayed at the above some time back, they are just ok IMO, I really like staying at the

Sandcastle in PA, the rooms are very clean, staff extra nice & friendly, excellent pool & hot tub, The balcony face the Gulf, with a great view & a very nice boardwalk to the beach. The rooms have everything you need & maybe more. Have a great time in wherever you decide to stay.

I love the Casa...more of a boutique type property with direct access to the beach and personal attention to detail. You can view the individual condos on their website.

I have stayed ONLY at the Aransas Princess. We go with our extended family every year and I must say I am VERY picky! The units are fantastic, both poos are great (no walk just an elevator ride). The boardwalk goes all the way to the beach and is secured by a key for guests only. WONDERFUL place...!! We decided one year to stay elsewhere just to see whats out there....will NEVER stay anywhere else again!

Have stayed at AP many times and never disappointed. Units are nice, we like the top floor units as the view is awesome from 8th floor. Two pools and never crowded. We like the fact it is close to town as well...you can walk to a beachmart and also a convenience store if you wanted. Casa would be a bit more of a drive to town. we also like the protected beach in front of the AP - esp if you have kids or want to do a bonfire at night.... Port A has changed alot in 10 years, but still a very laid-back place. have a great time!
