Despite the touristy name and its nondescript exterior, Shells in Port Aransas served one of the best veal chops I've had. Albeit on the small size (but big enough), the chop was served with a aoli sauce with capers that was to die for. Great sauted vegetables on the side. I also ordered the blue cheese salad, which was a simple iceberg wedge with blue cheese and copious hunks of real bacon.
My wife enjoyed a grilled amberjack with a verde sauce; the kids split a plate of spaghetti and meat balls. The service was fine, and the price was pretty reasonable.
Highly recommended. Note: the locals say it gets very crowded during the summer season, so arrive early.
