Kemah with two teenage boys!

Are there any "must see/do" with two teenage boys (13&17) while in Kemah? Thoughts about Pleasure Pier vs Kemah? Are the rides expensive or reasonible?

Also, should we consider staying in a newer hotel in Houston or stay in Kemah?

Thanks!

My guess is that the rides are geared for a little younger crowd. I would think Schliterbahn in Galveston or NASA would be more interesting for them.

I always recommend Priceline and/or Hotwire for hotels select 3 stars and up and your hotel will be fine.

Priceline only guarantees one bed available, so that may not work for the OP if traveling with two teenage boys.

True, but I find it is often the case that two doubles (as apposed to one king) is the harder room to get rid of. I can't imagine a hotel actually not having a two double unless they happen to be completely sold out.

kemah boardwalk would offer the boys 6 real thrill rides. Pleasue Pier in Galveston is made/designed by same person as Kemah, last I heard all the rides weren't quite open.

You can't go wrong with Schlitterbahn Galveston, as was previously mentioned.

If you will stay in the Kemah area for your trip, I would stay in that area. If it were just a day trip, I'd probably stay elsewhere.
