hotel near UTMB

My daughter has an interview at UTMB and she & I will be in town for a day. Can anyone recommend hotels in safe areas( coming in late at night ) near to UTMB ? Also any good vegetarian restaurants for food as well.

Thank you

So pretty much anywhere on the island is close to UTMB. Safe - along the sea wall. No Vegetarian restaurants that I know of. Lots of places that have items - try Eatcetera, Mario's Ristorante, Mediterranean Chef, Mosquito Cafe, Oasis Juice Bar and Market

Agree, the island is not too big, so anywhere will be close.

The Wyndham Tremont and Harbor House, in the Strand District, are probably the closest and have lots of restaurants nearby.

The Hotel Galvez is on the Seawall, but the nicest, closest to UTMB.

Can't help much on the dining, except for Mario's Italian restaurant on the Seawall.
