The Bluff View Arts District is beautiful, food just fair. If it is a nice day, you could eat outside at Tony's Trattoria, although no view from there. Depending on time and weather, maybe the Back End will be open outside.
Again, depending on weather, you could go on the Northside and visit Good Dog and enjoy gourmet "dogs". Take them and walk into Coolidge Park and eat on a bench by the Tennessee River and antique Carousel. May not sound to exciting, but the setting is awesome and the "dogs" great!
The Boathouse Restaurant, on Amnicola Hwy, 5 min. from downtown, is another great spot. Positioned on the Tennessee Riverwalk and Tennessee River, offers a casual and excellent choice for any palate.
If you are arriving on I-24, there is Sugar's Ribs and Bar B Que. Not much to look at, but SOO good. Bar B Que, ribs, chicken. Unique grilled Okra and etc.
Downtown, is Big River Grill and Brewery. Offers a good selection of eats and local beer. This places you right in the middle of one of the tourist areas. You could walk around or walk across the Walnut Street Bridge to the Northside, if time allows.
Hope this helps. Let us know if additional information is needed.
