We often rent bikes when we travel. I was thinking of biking in Hil City, but I assume it's pretty hilly (and I don't do well when it's very hilly). Are there any relatively flat but still pretty places to bike there?

The Mickelson Bike Trail goes thru Hill City. It's a 109 mile long rail-to-trail with no climbs greater than a 4% grade, though 4% can get pretty tiring on long stretches. You can arrange for shuttles. You can find information on the SD parks website or mickelsontrailaffiliates.com

The Mickelson Trail is mostly gravel, if that makes a difference.
