Hi i have a question for Hart or MBconcierge ive read about 2 new resorts one Apogee Towers (18th block of N.Ocean Blvd) and Oceans One (100 South Ocean Blvd) i just wanted to know have they started on any of these resorts? They really look nice from the photos and was wondering have they started construction (i know its probablly a long time till it opens) just curious Thanks |

Punt-that one is for you MBCon. Haven't been on Ocean Blvd in month or so could not give any kind of info. We have so MANY resorts/condo's under construction or in pre-construction phases. Almost impossible to keep up with them. Same with new developments, Centex bought Baytree Golf Course in Little RIver to turn into MEGA Development to start Spring 2007 and not a thing is going on there, nothing at all. Of course sales are down and building has slowed down tremendously, I work in the building materials industry, very slow. Might be good time to buy.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but I think Oceans One is in NMB....would NOT be a good location in MB, IMO of course. And I cant place Apogee Towers...but, headed that way as we speak...but that might be in NMB also.....my expertise on the Blvd is mostly MB....know a few places in NMB, but not as current as I am with MB. :)

MBConcierge i was looking on oceanfont-investment.com and looked at the maps and they both pulled up on the google map right near the old pavillion thats why i was asking they both look really nice in such a run down area but i guess its to make it look nicer in thoses areas Thanks

Mrs, if you are looking for investments, just my opinion but there are plenty of places to check out, I would avoid the old pavillion area myself. Yes its in transition, and probably will be for while. We have no real direction from Burroughs and Chapin what they will do with the Pavillion, Attic, Mother Fletchers area and that will certainly benefit the area, but you still have the areas further south that I just don't see changing anytime soon, they still attract the seedier element and I don't care how nice the development is, if people don't like the area or are uncomfortable, its not a wise choice. Just read the reviews for BAYVIEW, few blocks from Pavillion, yes it has some "issues' but beyond that the location is not very good, and people were not happy with the "element" that hung around the area. SOMETHING to consider, go furhter north toward MBConceirge "home base" or even further north toward me in Little River, check out Coquina Harbor condo, in the development stage on Hwy 17, overlooking the harbor, not ocean front, but you are only about 5 mins to Cherry Grove, but beautiful view of the marina and waterway. Insurance/taxes be cheaper then ocean front anyway.
