Do not miss restaurants for adults!

Hi all,

My husband and I (30) are travelling with my parents (55) to HH this September.

What are your favorite restaurants? What is considered a "do not miss"?

Don't need anything kid friendly :)

We're staying in Sea Pines.

Thanks in advance!

What, no Red Fish Stan?

Also, there is a new upscale Italian Restaurant that the former chef of Michael Anthony's is opening early September in the Village of Wexford. I will look forward to trying that (can't recall the name though- it starts with a "C."). I will look forward to trying that.

I have to add Skull Creek Boathouse. A 15 minute drive from Sea Pines but worth the effort. Great waterside settig with good food.

At Sea Pines Center is Truffles. Close to home with reliable food.

The Alligator Grill in the shopping center at the SE corner of Sea Pines traffic circle has very good food and one of the better early dining options.

Our best restaurant experience on the island in our years of visiting is Vine. Check out the reviews... mine is included from this past May.

Very small place. Suggest advanced reservations, and request to be seated inside.

My kids are your age (and we are your parents'). We enjoy Wise Guys. With their expansion you have the option of little plates to share or full dinners. We always opt for a bunch of shared little plates. There is a wide variety of options so it suits a variety of palates. The wine options are extensive.

If you're looking to avoid kids and don't mind spending some money:

1) Michael Anthony's

2) Sage Room

3) CQ's (not as good as 1&2 but much closer)

My husband and I love the Sea Grasse Grille...that's a "must go to" for our annual HHI trip! Love the way the place is decorated and it's cozy environment as well as the fabulous food.

I haven't been there in several years, but I thought Charlie's Etoile Verte was outstanding when my wife and I went there several years ago. It's definitely an "away from the kids" type of place, and I assume it's still a high quality restaurant.

I've also had very good experiences at the Chart House, Frankie Bones and especially Wise Guys.

The new restaurant opening in September in Village of Wexford is Ombra Cucina Rustica (guess the "C" in Cucina made me think the whole name started with a "C" Oh well). Anyway, there are high hopes it will be as outstanding as Michael Anthony's given the former chef is now the owner. Time will tell.

Is that in the old Antonio's space?
