Discount for Carnegie Science Center?

I will be bringing my extended family back to Pittsburgh for a Thurs-Sun between-Christmas-and-New-Year visit for their Christmas present. (Auntie does experiences rather than toys!) Three years ago we had a lovely time with the Duquesne Incline, Cathedral of Learning nationality holiday rooms, and the Heinz History Museum. This time I'd like to take them to Carnegie Science Center, but the group rates (there will be 22 of us) are not available for that week. Does anyone know of any coupons/discounts that might be available? (I know sometimes there are local discounts from supermarkets and the like and was hoping...It's a bit pricey!)

We'd like to visit PPG Winter Garden, I think, and some other Christmas sites. Any recommendations? We're staying at the Hyatt Place that's across from the Robinson Mall, if that makes a difference in where to go. (Indoor pool, yay!)

Oh, I'd also like to get to the Fort Pitt block house, but wasn't sure about a group of that size or whether winter was a good time to go. (The kids' ages range from 1 to 24, with the major group being in the 8-15 bracket.)

Maybe in hotel lobbies, there are sometimes discount pamphlets....

I have no idea whether this will help or not, but since you will have such a large group it is worth a call .... carnegiesciencecenter.org/visit/…

And for the Blockhouse ; http://www.fortpittblockhouse.com/hours/

I THINK you should be able to squeeze 22 people in the building, it is rather small. Right next to the Blockhouse is the Fort Pitt Museum, www.heinzhistorycenter.org/secondary.aspx… which used to be rather lame when it was run by the Commonwealth, but is better now that it is administered by the Heinz History Center, http://www.heinzhistorycenter.org/index.aspx which is also worth a visit if you have the time......

In the evening, you may also want to consider a visit to Phipps Conservatory for the Christmas night show.... just superb -- BUT also may be a bit pricey for that size of a group, you could call them about a group rate, too. http://phipps.conservatory.org/
