My young adult son and fiance have recently moved to the Red Lion area and will be on their own for the first time over the holidays. Any suggestions for a really nice Thanksgiving and/or Christmas dinner out. Also places to go for family appropriate holiday entertainment for early 20's couple.
I can't help with dining out on Thanksgiving or Christmas but I can offer some holiday entertainment ideas.

The American Music Theater in Lancaster has "Home for the Holidays."
Allenberry Resort & Playhouse in Boiling Springs is doing "A Boogie Woogie Christmas."

The Central PA Youth Ballet does several performances of "The Nutcracker" at 2 venues.

This is just a sampling for the many holiday events in the area.
Since Red Lion is in York county, and much closer to York than Lancaster, I'd also post this is the York forum Plenty to see and do on that side of the river also.
I would make reservations for Christmas Day since a lot of restaurants will be closed, but there's always the hotel based restaurants.
We have our Thanksgiving dinner at the Pressroom (in downtown Lancaster), but always make reservations...it fills up with large groups. I'm sure some of the buffets will be open but at the upscale restaurants you might be out of luck without a reservation.
