Thanksgiving Dinner HELP!

Taking my 90 year old parents to Camp Hill, Pa. to visit relatives. Need a really, really nice place for Thanksgiving dinner. Hershey

is already booked. We can drive up to 30 minutes from Camp Hill...any suggestions???????????

Try the West Shore Country Club. It may be open for members only but I bet they can give you a recommendation.

The restaurant at the Hilton in downtown Harrisburg has a Thanksgiving Day brunch. The Park Inn Harrisburg West (formerly the Holiday Inn West) in Mechanicsburg also has a Thanksgiving buffet, though I wouldn't count on it being too fancy. Both are close to Camp Hill.

The Holiday Inn Harrisburg East usually has a Thanksgiving Day buffet dinner. Most of the larger hotel chains have a Thanksgiving Day buffet; closer to the date, they will advertise.

The Allenberry Resort (not too far from Camp Hill in Boiling Springs) is really nice but I'm not 100% sure they are open on Thanksgiving. 1-800-430-5468.

It's a little more than 30 minutes, but the Inn at Herr Ridge in Gettysburg looks nice:

I'd put it at a little less than an hour from Camp Hill.

Every year we go to the Penn Harris Radisson in Camp Hill for their Thanksgiving brunch. It is high class and very good. About $30 per person. They have an egg station to make omelettes, carving station with ham, beef and turkey, salads, hot side dishes, shrimp, and dessert station. Not sure if it is ok for you parents because it is a buffet. If they get around ok, I highly recommend it.

Having read all the previous posts to you, I only 'second' the Hilton in downtown Harrisburg. I belong to the West Shore Country Club and you unfortunately you can't get in there without a member (and I'll be out of town).

I would also highly recommend Bricco and (the new) Char's at Tracy Mansion, both in Harrisburg. Both are very classy and expensive, guaranteed to please, but call NOW to get a reservation.

Between the Hilton, Bricco or Char's, I guarantee you'll be happy.

Best of luck!
