Well, I feel a little guilty writing another post looking for itinerary guidance as so many already exist, but of course I have specific questions and not enough time to sift through everything sooo...
My husband and I are taking our first vacation sans children - 8/31 to 9/4 - and are staying at the Arch Cape Inn. We are from Colorado, love to hike, view wildlife and natural beauty and would love to find some challenging and inspiring trails. We also love to eat out and are looking forward to lots of seafood and perhaps an evening bonfire / picnic on the beach, weather permitting.
We have a convertible for cruising the coast and are also entertaining the idea of heading over to Willamette as we have friends of friends who own a winery there but if the drive is too far (more than 2 hours) we would pass as we can't fully enjoy wine tasting with me carrying our third child!
So, specific questions include:
- What are the best hikes?
- Which are the best restaurants for seafood within an hour of Arch Cape (casual or fine dining)?
- Who could help us with a bonfire / evening picnic?
- How far a drive is it to Willamette?
- What are your favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors on the coast?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
