I waited to late to book a room at the Ambassador for my husbands 40th bday. They are booked! What should my second choice be for a downtown hotel? I am coming into town this weekend Oct 17-19th. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

The National Arabian Horse Show is in Tulsa that weekend. All hotels are full. Thousands of people from all over the U.S.A. will be there. We're going and we booked our hotel 2 months ago.

The Crowne Plaza downtown has completed its renovations & should be a nice alternative. One warning--if train whistles in the night bother you bring some ear plugs & make sure to ask for a room away from the train tracks.

THe Downtown Tulsa Hotel is in the midst of renovations & I have no information on it to recommend it or not.

Either of the Doubletrees (downtown, Warren Place) should be OK, with my preference for Warren Place.

There are a few bed & breakfasts you might try in the Tulsa area.
