Is there a shuttle from OCK to Norman on game days?

There is not one that I am aware of. There is the Amtrak Heartland Flyer, which only makes one run down to Norman (on the way to Ft Worth) in the morning, and one run back through in the evening. If it's an afternoon game, that might work for you.

The only way to get from OKC to Norman and back again is either car, taxi (expensive!) or the Heartland Flier (as suggested by the previous poster). However, with a 7PM kickoff, the Flier is NOT an option as the last train leaves Norman for OKC at 8:59 PM. I honestly don't think the game will last less than two hours. :)

Any idea how much a taxi would be from Bricktown to Norman?

Depending on traffic and whether the cab company charges on the meter or charges a flat rate (the meter runs even when stopped), without the tip it would be between $36 and $45 one way. (Some of the cab companies raised their rates when gas was high. Some didn't. So it will depend on which company you hire.)

However, sometimes a cab company will increase the fare on a long trip because they won't have a passenger when they return. In that case it could be as much as $70 or more for the ride. Once again - one way. You need to call the cab companies and see what sort of deals they have.

You could rent a car at the Enterprise Airport location on Saturday afternoon around 1 PM and return it before 1 PM on Sunday for about $47 if you are between 21-24 years old. If the renter is 25 years or older, then the price drops to about $22. Under 21, you can't rent from anyone.

Good luck!

OK, I said to rent at the airport. The total cost would depend on how much you had to pay to get to and from the airport before and after the rental. If the hotel you stay in has cheap or free transportation from there then you won't have to add the cost of a taxi two ways.

I guess I should have asked earlier - How are you getting to OKC? If by car, have a designated driver do the honers to Norman and back. I would be willing to bet that any cab ride is going to run you at least $100 (or more) round trip no matter how you slice it.

:)

Thanks for all your info. I have a car but didn't want to deal with the traffic and parking.

With a 7PM kickoff if you leave around 3PM you shouldn't have too much traffic to deal with and plenty of time to eat and look around the campus. And plan on hanging around about an hour after the game and the traffic will thin out quite a bit.

My suggestion: Park at the Lloyd Noble center and take the trolley to the stadium. I believe it runs from 3 hours prior to the game until 1 hour after the game. You may have to adjust the time you head to the game and what you do immediately after the game, but it will be a lot easier to deal with.

Maybe someone can give you an alternate route from downtown OKC to the Lloyd Noble. :)

Good luck and have fun!

I forgot to mention - parking at the Lloyd Noble Center is free. No idea if the trolley has a fee or what it might be.

According to CART it's $2 each way. Thanks again for all your info.
