Family needs help

Hi there! I have been reading the dismal Trip advisor reviews of Sandusky hotels. Our 11 year old daughter has asthma and we have an opportunity to come to Cedar Point for the first time this Thursday- 7/13. Advice on a very CLEAN place to stay?

Money on a cleaner hotel room is better spent than in an ER visit!

Thank you all so very much!

Also- is Soak City worth the money- or is the Kalahari resort more fun with the surfing? (Our kids are 14 and 11)

i actually have friends staying at the Holidays Inn Express in Vermilion right now, and they said it's so clean, they were very surprised. it'd be a 20-25 minute drive to Cedar Point from there though. Are you staying thursday night only?

There are alot of good hotels in the area but I would suggest staying right at Cedar Point, at the Breakers. It is a little more expensive but right there in the park if you want to get a break from all of the excitement of the park. They have a nice swimming pool and beach too. Also you won't need to drive anywhere once you get there, you can walk into the park or Soak City. And there aree several restaurants there too. Soak city is work the money and it is sounds like the weather should be perfect for outdoor waterpark.

Why go to inside park, save that for a winter getaway. And if you stay at the Breakers you get into the park a half hour early - before park opens - so can get to ride the best rides first.
