i say marblehead... though i dont know of any paticular places. marblehead and PC are 15 minutes away from each other anyway... kelleys island might be hard to get last second...

I love Mon Ami! You will be so suprised at all of the renovations they have done!

Pick up a couple of bottles of the brut RESERVE champagne in the gift shop (and do some wine tasting), you will be pleasantly suprised.

I think the food has definitely improved over years past, and they pour a nice heafty glass of wine in bar.

mon-ami is great and the wine is terrific I would suggest to anyone visiting the port clinton area to take the time to visit mon-ami. My nephew is the head cook there and I worked therea few years back.

Lynda, I'll bet our paths crossed at some point during your tenure at Mon Ami.

So happy to hear your nephew is part of the new guard at Mon Ami, do let him know their culinary skills don't go unappreciated!

I'm having dinner there with my parents this coming Friday, and am really ready for a perch fix! But the crab cakes are to die for, too....Ah! Can't wait.

I can't bring the perch home with me, but you know I will have a couple of bottles of champagne in tow!

I know this is way too late, but for your next visit, I would lsuggest the Scenic Rock Ledge Inn & Cabins.. It is just 5 minutes from Port Clinton, and 8 minutes from Marblehead. There is a pool, cabins, and the best view of Lake Erie of anyplace we have ever been.

If not at out place, I would alsways suggest staying closer to Port Clinton, as that is where most of the restaurants and activities are located.
