Well, there will not be any sunlight, it will be rather dark even at noon. The average temperature is minus 15 C. Dry and very cold.

Perhaps consider going in april-may, still winter but sunshine all day.

The short answere on what to see: Nothing (due to lack of sunlight).

But jokes aside, there's pleny to do and see. I've unfortunately only been there between seasons - low activity.

Going out on a trek (skis, snowmobile og dogsled) when it's always dark, with no lightpollution to disrupt the scenery is priceless.

Remember warm clothes!

We have just returned home from a wonderful trip to Svalbard and heard from a student at the university there that the winter months are party months!!
