Just visited and here are some tips from our experience. We bought the tickets for adventure. We were very disappointed that cosi made e timed entry group way too big for the space. Not everyone could quite see or hear the movie that sets up the exhibit and once in, the stations where you try to solve clues had lines. What we learned is that you can come in up to 30 minutes after your scheduled entry time. About 15 minutes late is probably the sweet spot because before we left, the next group came in. This would have been fun if not for the constant lines. Some of the experiences are one person at a time and because you might not pass the first time, you have to go again and this line really got backed up and was a bummer. Same with the station where you finally solved the puzzle.
The life exhibit and the gadgets exhibit on the second floor were a blast! Lots of interactive fun. Lots of good learning while doing. The outdoor park had some fun stations but little kids are running around without supervision and having a blast but jumping ahead to take turns so it is hard to get to do anything if you don't want to stop the littles who did seem to be having lots of fun.
We went into the Sherlock exhibit about five minutes late, which was great! We didn't wait at any stations. We were hesitant to go after adventure was so not quite fun but not having to wait much changed it and we got to really experience trying the theories and clues. You collect evidence by putting a little booklet in machines or taking rubbings or punching holes to read codes. Then you take that evidence to stations with choices of different theories and use the evidence you collected in different ways. It is a little complicated so,kind of fun to do together as a group where you can talk through what you think. All in all, it was a great time but I wish that first bit had gone more smoothly and not established a negative. I wished we had discovered the upstairs exhibits earlier too. The oceans and energy are more geared toward the littles (who were having very wet fun in oceans).
