Hollywood and Scioto casinos

Hi:

We plan a trip the first week of June and will be coming back east towards Columbus and wanted to stop for a night or two and visit the 2 casinos. I tried to research a hotel online, but about the only one that sounded good was the Quality Inn on Frusta Dr in Obetz. On my map, it looks like it would be pretty central to both casinos, is it? Does anyone have any info on the hotel itself or the area it's in, is it a safe area? Or a better suggestion? We'd rather not be in downtown.

Thanks!!

Sandy

Obetz would be getting fairly far east relative to the Hollywood Casino, although it is right off 270, so it wouldn't take an exceptionally long time to get there. It's a safe enough area, but kind of light industrial and warehouse, so not a lot of amenities right by the hotel, beyond some fast food.

Stringtown Rd off I-71 in Grove City has a number of hotels, is more central between the casino and the racino, and has a lot more in terms of restaurants and shopping. I would suggest looking there over Obetz.

Okay, thanks, that's what I wanted to know. I'll check out the Grove City area.

I agree with Grove City mainly stringtown rd hotels would put you in between the two. Another area that you might be interested in as well would be the few hotels located on the side of Trabue rd between Rentra dr and St James Lutheran way, Im sure if you google those streets and hotels the options will come up. I know that the Holiday Inn express in front of the Cracker Barrel was recently built/renovated. This also would put you by 270 that would make it a short distance to both Racino and Casino

Grove City is your best bet (Stringtown Road off of I-71)- its between the two casinos. Plus there is alot of shopping and restaurants around there as well.
