We are arriving July 1st

We are arriving July 1st. We have booked the Radisson Hotel Cleveland-Gateway. We plan on attending the Tim McGraw, Faith Hill Concert at the Q-Arena (not sure of the proper name). Is this walking distance? I wanna make sure as we have kids with us, ages 8-14. Also, when we arrive is there a "cool" place to eat with the kids before the concert? Thanks.

Definitley walking distance..if there's an Indians game in town that night ,the downtown streets will be busy with families and fans. Very safe downtown; can be pretty deserted though after work lets out. The Hard Rock is right down the street from the Q (on Ontario); Cooperstown on E9th(Alice Coopers restaurant across from the Jake and Q)) has both sports and rock and roll memorbilia all over)...lots of other/newer places too; I would ask the hotel staff for a complete isting. Hope you have fun...

You picked a great place to stay for a concert at the Q. Very close to everything. You'll find lots of fun places to grab a bite with the kids...for loud fun, you could stop in between hotel and Q at Fat Fish Blue, sort of blues/cajun. Across from Q (on side), there's Harry Buffalos and Winking Lizard (wings, burgers, salads, etc). There's also a dining room at House of Blues (just to say you've been there (for the kids)...

Don't forget the Great Lakes Science Center next to Rock Hall for kids. There's an Imax there. And the Browns stadium is next door. The Q, by the way, is next to The Jake (where the Tribe plays).
