I too have read reports about the Sirenis not being ready now until Sept 1 for opening. I found some picks that were taken in June of the recent progress of the resort if anyone would like to check it out

Wow, those pictures were quite eye opening. Now I definitely believe that they will not be opening until later this year. Even if they do open up for August, I find it hard to believe that many of the amenities would be available. I am waiting to see more progress updates on this resort before I book.

Good idea I would start looking for a second place to stay if I were you and although I didn't book until Feb 9, 2007 I will keep a second choice in mind just in case. Hopefully it will all be worked out by then. Good luck with your plans. you never know.

I too had a look at those photos.......it appears that some of the photos were taken at different times since the main hotel room complex is in 2 completely different stages, one nearly ready to furnish and one barely framed. This is not how construction works, regardless of the country. These pics are from June, maybe early.

I got some email correspondence from the manager today and he assures me there is a July 27th opening day.

I cannot comment on why someone with an August vacation would be transferred to another resort, but I'd have to believe what the manager told me rather than hearsay.

My vacation isn't until December, so not only will they be open, the landscaping will have had a chance to fill in a little.

Keep an eye on the reviews section starting early August. It's really the only way any of us will find out what's going on.

Were still going We are booked for Aug 29th thru Sept 8th. I just had my travel agent contact Apple and said there opened now? Who know's. Life is an adventure. We have never been dissapointed yet. Keeping our fingers crossed.

Hello, my fingers crossed body. I spent all day today,talking to Applevacations and GS reservations. They "hope" to be open on July 27. So I still going July 29.We'll see?

I hate to think that anyone would miss out on there reservation plans this summer that's for sure. I hope that all goes well and that they are ready now but if they were farther along then what they posted as photos taken in June then they could have represented their progress a bit better. A little misleading by the pictures I think. For those earily birds that are going the end of the month and next month please let the rest of us know what you think and have a great time!

remember, the photos are there only to chart their progress. That could mean from turning the first shovel of soil until now. Again, wait to see how it goes

Besides, the photos are of their residential complex. New photos on bookit.com. I am a travel agent. and what bugs me the most is that I don't know the truth. Applevac. not changing my reservation yet. But I think it's ridiculous to pay more for the hotel, that is not even open yet. I'll keep you guys up to date.

Can't wait to read reviews when it opens, we are booked for two weeks in January, great prices. Noticed now on Sell off Vacations not being offered until September. Is it late opening. Everything should be ironed out by the time we go.
