Is this payable by card?

If it's cash only, which currency is acceptable?

I believe it's cash only and they'll definitely accept pesos and sterling (no Scottish pounds though). Sometimes they'll accept US dollars and sometimes not, so best not to rely on that.

Who are you flying with? We flew with Virgin Atlantic and it was already paid for.

If you're on a package with one of the tour operators, Thomson, Thomas Cook, etc, you will need to pay it as they don't include it in their tickets prices. If you travel with British Airways, Virgin, etc, then they will have already included it in the ticket cost and you will not have to pay at the airport.

We have travelled with First Choice & Thomas Cook the past 3 times to Mexico & always had to pay the departure tax, we paid in dollars or pesos, but this year we are going to be flying with Virgin so were quite suprised that we didnt have to find the extra for the departure tax..., plus the holiday worked out alot cheaper than with the 2 tour operators we have used in the past...what a result!!

Hi gsijay, enjoy your flight. Hopefully, you will get one of the newly refurbed Virgin planes, as we did. If so, look forward to an amazing entertainment system with over 50 movies to choose from and tv/music albums, pluys constantly updated news/sport etc. Its all touchscreen so once they hand out the headphones to you, the time will go by very quickly. Have fun.

Thanks for the info robhjones, we are looking forward to the flight as never flown with Virgin, fly out on Satuday 15th Sept so not long to go now, we were informed that Gatwick had refurbed all their planes so we are hoping to get one, do we need to pay for anything on the flight as we understood with the Rockstar Service you get all your drinks included in this service, also good that we have got our seats booked already aswell...
