Recent stay at Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya |
|
I recently posted the review "Great stay but not a great resort!!" and wanted to be able to give advice or answer any questions from anyone traveling there in the near future. If you need advice on getting a good room or have any other concerns, let me know!! |
|
I have been tryin to get a good room so any advice that you wouldlik eto share would be great. Sorry to hear that you were disappointed about the resort. We are heading there Friday.

What I did was email the hotel directly and ask for a room near the ocean with a pool or beach view about a week before we left. I specifically requested the 1800 or 1900 building if possible. I made sure I sent the request IN SPANISH! If you don't know Spanish (mine is pretty weak) then use a free online translator engine and just cut and paste the translated text into the email you send. You will probably get back an email saying they can't guarantee anything, but make sure you send them a nice email back thanking them for anything they can do. Our room was 1818 and had a view of the ocean and partial view of the pool.. Hey, it worked for me!

spike, It's so nice of you to offer to answer questions. I really appreciate it. I'm sure I'll have more. Right now I just wanted to know what email address you used to request a room. Thanks! Calypso

The email I used was the following: bookings.mx@sirenishotels.com I found it on the Sirenis website. You have to navigate through the website till you reach the Grand Sirenis page and it will be at the bottom under "Contact the hotel". You should get a fairly quick response from a reservations agent at the hotel.

Spike489, Do you have a name of the reservations agent who replied to you. I often find that if you address request emails directly to one person you have better results. Thanks
|
Mr.Spike489 I have read bad things about the volleyball court can you comment? Also are 1900 & 1800 the buildings to ask for. Cheers Richard

Hi richard, we stayed in the 1900 building in January. The view is directly on the beach....nothing obstructing. You walk out of the building across a little walkway (about the size of a sidewalk's width) and you are on the beach. The 1800 building is located just to the left (viewing from the beach) and back from the beach, but still very close.
