Hi,

I am visiting Male and unfortunately during transit, have to spend a few hours (actually 6) at Colombo at night. Considering the security issues, am a little worried on safety and want to book a good hotel near the airport itself. Can someone please suggest a nice hotel nearby where i can stay with family for the night.

Hi there,

By far easiest is Taj Airport Garden, 10 mins from the airport. It has a free shuttle service. 6 hours is not much as you'd better be back 90 mins before departure, sometimes longer queues at Emigration and Security.

Have a look at Browns Beach Hotel, about 20 minutes from the airport and probably a lot cheaper than Taj Gardens.
