Hi! My family and I are coming for vacation and we're bringing along our dogs, two very well behaved boxers. Does anyone know any pet-friendly places to eat dinner? Cafes or outdoor seating where they are allowed?
Thank you!

I would like to know this too! We just adopted a puppy from the pound a while ago and love to take her places w/ us! =)
There is a state law that animals are not allowed inside food serving establishments - except service animals such as seeing-eye dogs.
I have seen dogs on the patio outside Wolfman's Pizza on Park Road when I've eaten there before. Is on the south end of town. There is also a place called The Dog Bar: http://www.dogbarnoda.com/ They don't serve food, only drinks, but it sounds like you can bring food to dine on the patio. I also did a quick Google search and found this site for you, it lists several restaurants in the area who most likely let dogs in the patio area if you are seated outside. Good luck!
The only places that I am aware of are casual fast food places with outdoor dining such as Panera Bread or Moe's in Ballantyne OR others like this around the city. I have not seen much of this in Charlotte. Asheville on the other hand is VERY dog friendly and they are welcome at lots of outdoor dining establishments of all price ranges.
I meant outside dining of course, I wouldn't want to offend anyone inside that didn't like dogs and of course all the blah blah health code rules. Thank you so much! We'll probably Go to Moe's and maybe drive around to finda cafe with some nice tables outside.
There is the Dog Bar in NoDa (near North Davidson St. and E 36th St) that encourages owners to bring their dogs, but I am not aware if they serve food.
I knew there was one somewhere. Have to wait a little while to go so our pup can grow out of her chew on everything jump on everyone puppy stage. =)
There is outdoor dining at the Whitewater Center just west of Charlotte -- and completely dog friendly -- lots of people had their dogs with them while they ate. On Thursday and Saturday evenings there is live music on an outdoor stage. They have a decent variety of food, from sandwiches, salads, pastas, etc. Its a great place to sit outside and watch people raft, kayak, and go on the zip line. They do charge $5 for parking but you get a coupon for free dessert (and the cobbler I had there a couple weeks ago was delicious)
