I am looking for a nice, clean hotel to stay at in the Indian Trail area. We are bringing a hockey team down to play at the Extreme Ice Center in early April for several days. We are hoping to find a hotel with restaurants nearby.
Not really a hotel in 'Indian Trail' per say, but there are several in Matthews (which is right up the road) that would suit your needs. I had my wedding guests stay at the Hampton Inn in Matthews, and they enjoyed it. There are several restaurants, fast food or not, and shops around. It's probably about a 15 min drive from the Ice Center, and it's a straight shot. There are several more in Matthews too, but that's the one I have experience with. =)
You may try googling hotels in Monroe, NC. Its a straight shot up Hwy 74 from the other direction.
I've never stayed in a hotel here, but my parents have tried them all while visiting. Their favorite is the Courtyard by Marriot at 74/I-485. That would be a 10 min drive tops to the ice center. There is a Taco Bell and Pizza Hut within walking distance. For nicer restaurants you'll want the Comfort Inn or Hampton Inn further up in Matthews. That will only add another 5 mins to the drive.
Courtyard Matthews is best in the area.
