Is there a car rental agency at the train station in Poughkeepsie, NY?

I am not aware of a car rental agency at the Poughkeepsie train station. However there should be cabs there that you can take to nearby Hertz or Avis locations and maybe others. There is also an Enterprise location in Poughkeepsie and you may be able to arrange for them to pick you up at the station to take you to their office.

Sam, there are no car rental agencies at the train station. There is an Enterprise rental agency (845- 485-2222) at 724 Main Street in the city of Poughkeepsie, opposite McDonald's. There are Hertz (845-462-6160) and Avis (845-462-7400) offices right next to each other on IBM Road off Route 9 in the town of Poughkeepsie. That's less than 10 minutes heading south on 9, again, meaning you need to take a taxi.

I just checked Enterprise's Web site, which confirms they will pick you up at the train station, so that may be easier for you.
