The falls in late October?

I had planned to take a rode trip to Niagara Falls this upcoming weekend (weekend of Oct.29th), and was disappointed to find out that the Maid of the Mist would not be running. To be honest, that was what I was most looking forward to. So, my question is..is it worth the trip to go in late October?...and not take the maid :( Are there weather restrictions for the other main attractions? What are some fun things to do other than the Maid of the Mist?

If crossing the border is in your plans, have a look at tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g154998-i97-k31717…

Hi TC,

AB is right this has been covered many times before but we are always thrilled to see that people are interested. You won't be disappointed in the Falls, it is truly awesome in any season. Although it is a major disappointment that the Maid of the Mist is closed you can still see the Cave of the Winds on the American side and you can still enjoy Goat Island and the Niagara State Park-on the CDN side there is all the hotels and the Casinos. You may want to travel down river to Lewiston and Youngstown on the American side-or Niagara on the Lake on the CDN side-all charming towns perched on the lower river and the mouth of Lake Ontario.

Having said that-it is going to be COLD-we are feeling the effects of Wilma and we are getting some very wet air-the high for Saturday is only anticipated to be 46, and that is a WET 46 near the Falls. So Bundle up-hats, gloves, even boots.

The weather forcast has been revised for this weekend-they are even talking about 60 degrees on Sunday-

That can change on a dime though.
