Aug 2013| We have just returned from Lake George and stopped for supper at a Pub (John Barleycorn - 373 Canada Street). We were totally impressed with the food, service and reasonable price. I had their meat loaf dinner served with salad and freshly fried vegetables, my husband the chowder and chicken wings, and my son the pulled pork meal (age 13). Hate to admit it but their meat loaf was much better than the one I do at home (I would love their recipe)! Very good meal and very reasonably priced at a total of $42.00 which included 4 lemonades and 4 coffees (we were very hot and tired). This pub is at the end of 'hotel/restaurant row' and provides a more peaceful and less chaotic atmosphere to enjoy a meal which is attentively provided by a friendly staff. Will be going back sometime - from Gatineau/Quebec/Canada.
