Kapama or Thornybush Reserves?

I'd like to spend 2 days with my fiance in March in a pricvate lodge. My flight arrives at the I' have just book my flight to Hoedspruit Airport.

I was advised to stay at Kapama, but it looks like there's only space at River Lodge in a Standard Suite for the night of the 21st; and at Buffalo Camp for the night of 22nd .

I was also told about Serondella at Thornybush and they have availability.

Price for both options are the same. Would option is better?

THank you in advance for any guidance here!!!

Cheers!

Hi there,

Out of the two I would recommend Thronybush - Serondell is a great options for couples as it is private and secluded with wonderful views from your bed and bathroom. Otherwise - what about Monwana? I would also highly recommend this, as well as Chapungu Luxury Tented Camp - also part of Thornybush, with luxurious outdoor baths (private, of course).

Further to this, Thornybush also offers really good 3 night specials, if it is possible for you to extend your stay, it may be worth your while :-).

All the best, and ENJOY!

If you pay for 2 nights at those Thornybush lodges, you have a 3rd night free. I hope your schedule allows it, because all of those mentioned by Jacqui would please you.

Thornybush is better without a doubt in my opinion. I was there this weekend and have visited both reserves many times.

May I ask why? Seems a bit biast to just note that the one is better than the other... A couple of reasons would be more appropriate to let others know where you're coming from and be more informed... You never know, some might prefer what you don't like.

We stayed at Thornybush and really loved it. As mentioned above they have the stay 2 nights get the third night free deal which is great.

We stayed at Monwana and it is excellent. It is owned by the same people as Serondella. They will accommodate any request you may have and I promise you will have a fantastic stay there.

We have stayed at www.casartgamelodge.com, great place with your own jacuzzi's and elephants nearby and super food!

We also stayed at www.kurhulalodge.com, also a super place, sorry no jacuzzi's, but with a view of the Olifants river.

Sorry to hijack this thread but the previous answers lead me to look at Thornybush. Are the "pay 2 stay 3" deals only available to travel agents? When I tried to price a stay through thier website it showed full price for 3 days. Thank you.
