Best Cabins for mid September near river?

Planning anniversary trip mid September. We would love to stay in nice cabin near the river, or cabin with scenic views. Recommendations are greatly appreciated, along with any other suggestions for things to do and see while we are there. Thanks!

There are more cabins in the Ruidoso area than in the rest of New Mexico combined, so you have many fine choices to choose between.

Try:

Just get your reservations in ASAP. Ruidoso is a very popular tourism spot in Southern New Mexico. Good hunting!

Check out White Sands, Cloudcroft, historic sites such as Lincoln, and Ft. Stanton, and Smoky Bear's museum and grave in Capitan.

The weather is perfect in mid-September - if you are into the outdoors, it is a great time of year to hike, mountain bike or go horseback riding. Shopping & dining in mid-town is always fun. Or you may just want to relax & chill out on the deck like the locals do. There are so many wonderful cabins in Ruidoso I recommend that you call the Ruidoso Visitor Center at 575-257-7395. We also have a list of accommodations on our web site www.DiscoverRuidoso.com - go to the Lodging page & you can search by cabins. There are photos as well as descriptions of the location, rates and amenities.
