Husband (veterinarian) & wife (ecologist/zoologist) non-smoking travelers have six days in mid-May to explore/drive from Las Cruces to Sante Fe to Albuquerque (from which we depart). Love beautiful drives, quaint/interesting towns, history and culture, short hikes, exploring natural systems and historical areas, birding, good food, clean comfortable lodging/bed & breakfasts, etc. Would welcome thoughts about best things to see & do, recommendations re: eating and sleeping establishments, best routes to drive, most reasonable timeline for travel, if there's a good place to stop overnight between Las Cruces and Santa Fe, etc. Cost - prefer not to have to sell the farm! Thanks.
