What Christmas thing should not be missed??

A group of 5 of us (ages 40+) will be going to Cape May for the weekend of December 7th. We already have tickets to the Candlight House Tour that evening but what else should not be missed? We all love CM but none of us have been there in the winter. Is the Lobster House open for dinner? We really only have about a day as we will be arriving Saturday around noon and leaving Sunday afternoon.

Yes, the Lobster House is open all yr. around. You might enjoy shopping along Washington Mall and stop in at Congress Hall to see their Xmas decorations. CM is so delightful during the Xmas season.

Shopping at the mall is a given whenever we are in Cape May!! But we'll stop by Congress Hall and see their decorations, too! Anything else?

The West Cape May Chrsitmas parade is being held while you are there December 7th. www.westcapemay.us

The parade starts at 5 PM at Borough Hall on Broadway then turns east on West Perry, past Wilbraham Park, ending at Carpenters Lane, by the Washington Street Mall.

I''ve never been , but it sounds like fun

Yeah, we were thinking about that, too...it might get in the way of the house tour, which starts at 5:30...and we have some people in our group who need to eat dinner, so there's that, hehehehe. I understand there is a craft show that day at Convention Hall as well. So much to do, so little time!

you mention Congress hall as a place to see for xmas. While we are doing a day trip Nov 29, is there a part of Congress hall you tour, or did you just mean its decorated and can only appreciate most of the decor if you were staying at the hotel?

The Christmas decorations in Cape May are always beautiful. Walk along the historic district where the big Victorian homes are. I just drove through town and Wilbraham Park, the bandstand park and many stores are already decorated and lighted. The Lobster House is open year round- I just had a nice bowl of hot chowder :-) There is breakfast with Santa each Saturday at Congress Hall. Enjoy your visit and please bring warm clothes as the sea breeze can be very raw this time of year.
