pick up a hippo press newspaper (free). It gives a run down on what's happening in Manch (or Manch-Vegas as they call it). Lots of places on Elm street. If the fisher cats are playing you might want to try the patio at the hilton garden inn. Have your beers and watch the game. You can try www.hippopress.com.

My favorite place is Strangebrew Tavern they have about 60 beers on tap, and the food is good as well. There is live music (free) every night.

In addition to those mentioned, try C.R. Sparks in Bedford. Some of the places people named may not be so low keyed, but definitely fun places to be, and certainly comfortable places to hang.
