We are considering the charter package to West Wendover, but would like to rent a car in order to see a few sights outside of the casinos. Are there rental car agencies in the city?

sixties, I'll be going to Wendover in a couple weeks, I can check for you. It's not a very big town at all so I wouldn't be surprised if there were no rentals available. Something you might do is Google "Peppermill Wendover" to get the 800 number of the hotels (all the Peppermill properties share the same switchboard) and ask the operator.

I found one rental agency that serves W Wendover, but they charge an EXTRA $200 fee - to bring the car there from Salt Lake City - this is plus you reg. charges - I didn't get that far! I think it was Hertz.

OK, just got back from Wendover. There are no car rental agencies in town. There is, however, a taxi service. I don't know the rates but if you wanted to go out to the Salt Flats or something, you could probably get a ride.

If it's any consolation, there's really not that much to see in the vicinity of Wendover. :)
